I am not sure if I am in a dream or a nightmare! Sissoko. seriously maybe it's me I just don t get it. please somebody explain? We leave Lamela and Lucas out for this guy?

Somebody tell me we don't have Gooner syndrome. that top four is not a trophy. Its been a tough season with some great highs and awful lows.

I guess to be outplayed by Newcastle and still win says something of course but I just can t shake off this hollow feeling that something is amiss at Spurs?

We seem to be going all out to bust a budget on the stadium and yet obviously happy to lose world class players like Toby. I just don t get it.

Am I wrong or are there others out there today who have this gnawing feeling in their gut that something typically Spursy is heading this way fast when a player like Sissoko is lauded by his coach?

I agree with the Toby situation Chris, unless there is injury problems or Carter Vickers is expected to step up next year? but Poch has qualified us for Champions League yet AGAIN and playing ALL our games away from home, which was always going to be difficult. He obviously sees something.

For me, we need to focus on another creative midfielder to push Erikson, a winger (Zaha for me) and a striker, with pace. Why we keep wasting money on 2nd rate strikers baffles me. We have spent quite a sum on strikers and wingers over the past 4/ 5 years; Llorente, Janssen, Soldado, Nkoudou, Njie, . We need a class act who can finish in a game where we get 1 chance and a proven pacey premiership winger. Zaha

Next season will also be difficult as we will again be in our new stadium. so expect yet another tricky year.

For me we need to ship out; Onomah, Janssen, Nkoudou, Carter Vickers and Vorm is out of contract. I believe we have 4/ 5 players to recruit in the summer. a creative midfielder, a Forward with pace, a winger, possibly a centre half if Toby goes and a goal keeper if Vorm retires. but how much money does Poch have to spend!

2.) 12 May 2018 13:08:38
All this playing all games away from home is nonsense! You had home advantage at Wembley in that the majority of fans in the stadium were your fans (apart from big games when the tourists turned up) .
You are in a new stadium next season that you haven’t played in before so does that mean you’re playing all games away again next season?

3.) 13 May 2018 12:46:01
Oh dear Bobby, you're talking complete tripe, a bit salty if you ask me.

4.) 13 May 2018 12:48:27
Read my post again Bob the builder. already highlighted your point.

Maybe if Pochettino spent a bit more time on the Trianing pitch instead of out filling his face with his mate Sir Alex Furguson his players might have put in a shift. Well he has been well and truely found out. He let that team go on the pitch at Stamford Bridge like lambs to the slaughter, ill equipped on any level to counter what we all knew Chelsea would do. We go two nil up and throw it away. we are 2-1 up against 10 man Arsenal, we throw it away. 1- Nil up agaianst West Brom, we throw it awawy. One nil up against Saints, we throw it away.

Here is a message pochettino and your team so get this.

at the southampton game they brought out a young lad 6 years old, no arms and only the upper bits of his legs of course he was a proud spurs fan, that young lad walked on that pitch on his blades and kicked around a football and he walked on that pitch with pride and a huge amount of guts and you know i thought. go on spurs win today for him. but they did nt, they ruined our last home game and that young brave boys dream . so go chew on that pochettino and your bunch of cowards if you had a fraction of the guts of that young lad you would have something. so now shoot that one down!

Would you like some sour grape sorbet with that humble pie?

2.) 15 May 2016 19:00:34
A bit harsh Chris. I know you are bitterly disappointed and so am I but the team did very well this year with a limited budget. They are the youngest team in the league and obviously require experience. I am very alarmed at the collapse at the end of the season. This reminds me very much of the Spurs of old. However, I do not think that is the case with this team. They have shown us many times that they can come from behind and win if you disregard today, we have not conceded more then two goals in any game in the premiership, a big change from the last couple of seasons where we were in the bottom 6 for goals against.
I feel we will have an interesting season next year and now Poch will have pressure on him to install a 100% effort at all times. A few good signings should make a huge difference.

3.) 15 May 2016 19:08:13
Bloody hell Chris, you must have been smoking some of Ravers best stuff . Yes we bottled it, but it's a bloody game . I bet that young lad isn't sat at home thinking my team has no guts! I bet he is sat thinking how proud he is of how hard we tried! If he is reading this, he will also think ' who is this person, using me as a reason to slag my team off . If you are so bloody disenchanted, they go support someone else .

4.) 15 May 2016 19:57:54
Davo

I have to take issue with that, I am not using that young lad as a "reason" clearly. I am trying to demonstrate that if a young lad like that can achieve all that against all the odds facing him then why can't a bunch of guys paid a kings ransom go on a football pitch and try and make their fans proud. Tried Hard! God forbid then what happens when they don't try! Actually mate I am extremely disenchanted as you should be. Yes it's a "bloody game" but it is game that means a great deal. You think I feel great that after 52 years I want to turn my back on my club? So actually I might just take you up on your offer. Thanks as I suspect will quite a few others for whom this last few weeks has been an almighty kick in the whatsits of unbelievable proportion.

5.) 15 May 2016 20:03:00
Well that was a disappointing end to a surprisingly good season.

The adrenaline of chasing Leicester disappeared once we drew against WBA - now MoPo needs to upgrade a couple of positions not just in football quality but also mental strength - we lacked on field leadership last year and when things didn't go our way this year it was also missing.

Third place, I'll take that thank you very much - now let's see the club push on next season and produce some of that amazing football they played this year more frequently.

6.) 15 May 2016 20:14:25
Well put Davo. Superb.

7.) 15 May 2016 20:37:56
Your in good shape . Banter aside you Boys have a good squad and manager . We hear you loud and clear across north London now guys.

8.) 15 May 2016 20:53:25
Well if any supporters want to go, then bye bye! If you and them can't see how well our team did this year, and then get behind them, then good riddance!
Do you honestly think they wanted to finish the season like that?

9.) 15 May 2016 20:56:34
Toot toot mind the gap ladies.

Forever in our shadow.

10.) 15 May 2016 22:37:42
Sack the loser. Fraud.

15 May 2016 17:19:57
We have flattered to deceive all season and were this Premiership not the worst ever we would be where we belong in the Championship. I watched the first game against Stoke and it was the same old same old and I Vowed never ever to go back after supporting this club for 52 years man and boy I am sick of the humiliation the lack of ideas the lack of pride the lack of fight and the endless preocession of rubbish managers.

We cannot play the so called high line because the players are not skillful enough or quick enough we constantly pass the ball across the pitch because we have no runners creating space, Kane is a one man crusade on his own. We are simply just not good enough. c'mon to lose 5-1 to a relegated team with 10 men.

We have been made the laughing stock, a joke a bunch of losers. a CLUB WITH FANS IT DOES NOT DESERVE. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE GUYS THAT WENT TO TYNESIDE, GIVE THEM THEIR MONEY BACK LEVY AND THEN DO ONE. I for one won't be back simply had enough. Life is too short to have to feel like this anymore.

Chris Kelly

1.) 15 May 2016 17:59:40
Are you being serious?

Yes an awful way to end the season, but a great season.

For the most part we have played some of the best football and being praised for it by all areas of the media.

WE have the youngest squad and their inexperience showed. Yes the usual top 4 haven't performed but the rest of the league has improved and we have immensely. We didn't expect top 4,

We have champions league and your here moaning. Great support! I suppose you would have only been happy with the title?

2.) 15 May 2016 18:33:38
Don't question my support mate, I have supported Spurs for 52 years. No! I don't want the title actually, I want to support a football team that has guts and fight and pride, I don't expect to have the best players or play the best football or win titles I just want to be able to feel some pride and satisfaction that my team fought to their last breath and tried their best. is that too much to ask? Inexperienced.? loris, french international captain, Walker experienced, Alderwiereld . experienced international, Vertongen, experienced International. shall I go on.

3.) 15 May 2016 19:10:58
No doubt you will, but hopefully everyone will ignore you!

4.) 15 May 2016 17:48:51
Chris it's a game.

Enjoy being a fan!

2nd, 3rd or 4th. Champions league was our goal. Yes we're dissapointed because we could and should have finished 2nd, but keep it real matey.

We are but fans.

Onwards and upwards.

5.) 15 May 2016 20:45:26
Waaaaaayyyyyy how you doing NE, as you say, its just a game.

10 Mar 2014 11:50:27
Hey, all we have to do is win all the games we have left and we will have a great season. It's all to play for.

Beat Benfica, beat Arsenal and the sun will be shining again!

COYS

Chris Kelly

1.) We will not win those 2 games I don't think. Might beat Benfica because we're at home and nick a draw from the other mob at best. Just my opinion, would take a win Sunday as one plus from the season.

Tim Sherwood is without any shadow of a doubt THE RIGHT MAN

He tells it like it is. He gets mad, he gets angry. His commitment is written all over him.

That is not his Team or his players, he is doing the best he can with what he has.

If Daniel Levy has half a brain he will let this Guy have the time he deserves.

I personally don't want to ever see another Foreign coach/manager, director of football or any more of this nonsense.

what happened on Saturday was sheer total BAD LUCK, nothing more, nothing less.

BACK SHERWOOD and make sure that in the next two games we become the 12th man whatever happens on the pitch. Let Arsenal FEEL AND KNOW THAT WE DESPISE THERE VERY EXISTENCE.
coys

Chris Kelly

1.) There is doubt.

2.) We will always back the team, through whatever results, used to it now! But I hope Levy gets a manager in at the end of the season . I don't think any of the top six team chairman would take on a manager with NO managerial experience, but then we do have Levy for a chairman!

3.) First of all anyone can say the right words and get angry and make it seem like they have passion but if the players are not listening what good is that?

Second of all I think it has been well documented that Sherwood wasn't Levy's first choice as he tried to get a "bigger" name in and was told he needed to wait till the summer so that's what he's doing.

4.) Agreed - back the team regardless. And back the man whilst he's in the job. He got the extra year so he wasn't made out to be a Benitez caretaker, and that was the right thing to do. I think he'll be very good one day, but that day is a way off.

I was impressed with Vert today coming out and explaining things. I think he is one of the people Tim was talking about.

He has lost the dressing room. It started after the CL final because the players thought Lucas should have started. Vertonghen is the players spokesman and he has questioned Pochs tactics and now has been ostracised by our coach so there is a bad atmosphere and there is resentment in the squad festering towards Kane because some of the players think he should be dropped and he is Pochs favourite.

And how do I know this. Because my mates daughter is in spurs ladies under 11 squad as is Perez's daughter well the little one of his two main coaches and the parents have to attend all sorts of meetings and he overheard this conversation on Monday evening.

So basically it's a crock of rubbish at our club and if Arsenal tonk us as I regret I think they will then the writing is on the wall for Poch So yes we need a change at the helm. His body language says it all.

Levy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. 100% agree with these posts. We are shambolic it's just awful Pochettino is well past his sell by date. Nice Guy and a great coach who has achieved much but look at his body language. No other Premier league coach with our record in 2019 would still be in his job. No one. There is no team spirt hardly any of the players celebrated Lamela's City goal. This team will struggle to finish top half never mind top four. I fear its going to get a lot worse before Levy pulls his head out of the sand and figures that Poch's compensation fee is a small price to pay. You can t all keep blaming it on Eriksen just because he has ambition. Eriksen realises what most of you realise that this team and this coach are going to achieve nothing. Sorry but facts are facts.

Agree with Raver. Poch was waving goodbye at Wembley. Chelsea have tapped him up already and the stuff about meeting Levy is just a pathetic get out story. Guy should man up and be honest. The Club is bigger than any coach or any player. Footballers are way way over paid. Serious who needs more than 100k a week it's an affront to honest decent people and Levy refuses to have any part in it and I make him 100% right. So if Poch wants out then fine with me. Coaches ate like buses there is always another one behind. Long live Daniel.

Davo DR-thfc, with respect, who is talking about buying the title and I wish I was on crack right now because I would rather that than have to feel like this. How can you find excuses for today.? Maybe you are on the Crack. We were outplayed run off the park and destroyed 5-1 by a team reduced to 10 men who are relegatedd who have hardly been able to score a goal all season and we threw away a chance to win the Premier League that we are unlikely to see again for a long long time and your OK with that are you?

All I want is for the team I support to put a decent shift in and show some guts and pride and character and to play a brand of football where players break and attack quickly and get in the box and penetrate and hold the midfield ground and defend with commonsense not wait to be picked off by somebody with a turn of speed. A team coached by somebody who has some ideas about how to change a game when its not going right, a manager who would have given his players the heads up about what Chelsea would do and stop them losing their heads and most of all coach his team to retain a lead but also how to kill a team off when you have the numerical advantage. I'll leave you to put your rose coloured specs back on and hope that tomorrow I wake up on another planet rather than surrounded by crowing Gooners, Chels and hammers fans who all think they have died and gone to heaven!
