Although I don't agree with or like the way 1985 is putting across his point of cheering on the boys, I do agree to a certain extent. My reasoning is that now the dismay of the the fans has been clearly and may I add RIGHTLY shown to the players, board, manager; the whole world for that matter, a renewed sense of patience at the Lane would be best to achieve what we as Spurs fans all want; better performances, more desire. After all, I think what we can all agree on is that support aids player performance and thier desire to help the club. But please, I'm not asking Davo to bring out his 'I love you Ade' banner just yet (they are millionaires that get ridiculous benefits for a job that is thier passion i.e the dream and yet still act like entitled kids), let's just give them the opportunity to rise up to our demands without the impact of an abusive home.

I think most of us agree in principle with 1985.

But if someone can explain to me how one cheers for the performance delivered during the first half against Stoke I'm all in.

Obviously we don't cheer such a performance, but we should try to rid the lane of the ominous tension in the air present before the players even touch the ball.

Its going to be on the players minds now, no matter what happens the players are expected to perform. If they are too weak to handle it then bye bye.

If the players show up every game like the fans the atmosphere will improve.

We're not asking them to win every game, 3 passes strung together would be progress at the moment.

This talk of dissatisfaction is total nonsense. We knew that Poch was a totally different manager to the ones that went before us. We knew that we were a team of confused players. We knew that it would take time.

Often you have to go backwards before you can go forwards. A new manager and a new style takes time; maybe as much as 2 years. It's not even a case of getting in the players the manager wants as much as getting the culture and the style right so that new players see and emulate the others.

We complain about the chop and change nature of Levy but then when the first 3 months hasn't gone to our liking we start showing unrest. This year is a write off, it always was. Expect nothing. Start judging Poch on next year's results.

Poshspur, I loved Ade when AVB WAS HERE, AS FAR AWAY FROM MY TEAM AS POSSIBLE!

Spot on Wulf, if anyone's blind passion leads them to think otherwise they are gunna have a tough few years

For the most part there hasn't been to much of a call for MoPo' head in the recent discourse here. Questions of the best way to accomplish what he is trying to do maybe, but very few calls to replace him.

The crux of the dissatisfaction has been the lack of commitment and effort by players and the fans impact on that. Understandng the 2 steps forward 1 step back, did anyone expect to witness such abject performances from highly paid professionals? I doubt it.

But that is part of my point YC; it takes time for the players to learn the new system. Professional football is an incredibly fast game where fractions of a second separate the winners from the losers. That means that decisions need to be instinctive.

If players are caught in 2 minds then they will look slow. If one player does things the new way and another does not then it looks like they are not a team. This is the same as when BR went to Liverpool and you had players making strange passes that cost them goals. They understood what they had to do but it was not yet instinctive so they made mistakes. But over time the instincts came and the mistakes stopped.

Lack of instincts is nothing to do with effort or leadership or caring. It takes time to embed. The players look confused, and that is exactly what we should have been expecting after just a few months.

Wulff, a lot of what you say makes good sense and I fully agree.

But the collective team pressing was more evident, in brief moments, earlier in the short season than it is now.

The players look more confused and according to the team spokes person, Ade, are struggling to understand what the manager wants and how to implement that on the field. If you don't understand what he wants after 3 months when will you?

It's one thing for it not to be instinctive, it's another for it not to be understood.
