Great news about benteke signing a new deal. Now, will all the villa fans please get off our site.
I posted a few days ago that I hoped it was a smoke screen and that baldini had disappeared for a reason and we would get a major coup. I reckon we enquired, was quoted £25million and looked away. He ain't worth that.

Well hope you didn't put money on it as he has just signed a new contract until 2017 for Villa. Personally I am happy as I don't believe £20-25M for a player after 1 season with his attitude (Genk and Villa) to join our ranks. However maybe it was just about getting a better contract for himself.

According to itk and press, both deals where done.
DO NOT believe a word of anyone until the club/player says otherwise.

Wrong thankfully. but we do need a quality striker. as I have said before Dzeko if we could get him, think he would like to be first choice and may be worth 15-20 mil and sign Chadil and offer 'arry parker and 4 mill for Remy as cover for wings and upfront.

Really looking forward to next season if we can have some luck on the injury front and sign a quality CF think we could challenge.

I actually like that delyid, well thought out post. Don't see Dzeko as a possibility unfortunately. Maybe something big needs to happen to keep AVB so Levy goes all out to sign such a player.

The coach was Mike Hunt, he is a really well respected coach.
