So it’s the morning after the night before. and on reflection it’s undoubtedly a case of “what if”, Liverpool were extremely poor last but to a man Spurs just didn’t turn up. Dele was non existent, Eriksen showed once again that he’s not capable of performing in big games, Son hugged and puffed but just wasn’t happening for him and Kane should never have started. The team that was on that pitch at the end in Amsterdam is the team that should have started last night. As heartbreaking as it is for fans and players alike, last night will be the making of some of those players and I for one am extremely proud of our club. Time to regroup and rebuild, get rid of the deadwood and players who don’t want to give everything for the club. Start by investing in quality wing/ full backs because Robertson and Alexander-Arnold are proof of just how important they are to the team. Team is in desperate need of some guile and creativity, I believe that Winks will develop into a top quality player and with Sissoko’s energy and drive alongside him then we need someone who can play that killer pass. Rumours of £53 mil bud rejected for Lo Celso so that indicates the money is definitely there to be spent, so let’s just hope we get the work done early for a change and give the team and any new signing a full pre season together and start preparing for the season ahead and another crack at Europe’s PREMIER competition. sorry couldn’t help but get that in.

Well said, get up, dust ourselves down and come back stronger!
It was a strange game last night, nothing like any from the last couple of seasons. And Liverpool were worthy winners on the night.

Not too bad this Morning bar the shakes due to marching powder and alcohol, I've become used to spurs letting me down every season and things won't change while levy, Lewis and pochetinho are there, we need a major overhaul and a new manager and new owners would be the start along with many bang average players shown the door, I would even consider selling Kane, Ali and eriksen for 250 million and reinvest it in other top players, look at Liverpool they lost suarez and coutinhou and bought van dijk and mane who have made them even better, mega rich Arabs are looking at buying Newcastle I would welcome them at spurs tomorrow.

As I said below, it’s up to Levy now.

Do we spend big money upgrading the starting team or do we keep buying prospects. Without spending on some quality and securing Toby we’re going nowhere.

The attacking pace and fluidity of the last 2 seasons has gone missing this season, injures, work load, whatever . but our inability to break down an organized defense has been evident for some time.

Right wing back has to be a priority if Trippier is first choice over KWP and Aurier then all 3 need moving out.

Bang on yellow card, nevermind eriksen new deal get Toby alderwereld signed up as he's world class and we will suffer without him, lamela, kwp, Davies, aurier, trippier, dier, wanyama, llorente, foyth can all leave this summer as they are not top players and should be playing for sides further down the league table, Ali, Kane, eriksen 250million and they can join them aswell.

Raver,

I’d hang on to Dele see if he can re-discover his form.

Kane worries me with his repeated ankle ligament injuries, but I’d keep him - need a much higher quality backup though to rotate with him.

Eriksen has proven to me he is not good enough to win the big games, I don’t recall him ever showing up for us when it mattered.

The rest I agree need moving on over the next 2-4 transfer windows, I’m not all that excited about Sessegnon potentially arriving either, don’t see him as an upgrade.

Yellow Card. I totally agree with what you’ve said above about our RB situation, personally I don’t think you could make a decent RB out of all 3 moulded together. As for investing in youth or quality and experience, I think we need both. Personally I’d go all out to try and get Mazraoui from Ajax. pace, strength and incredible delivery from wide areas and set pieces.

I’ll probably get shot down for this one seeing as he was part of one of the worst sides in PL history but the young lad Karlan Grant who signed for Huddersfield in January looked a prospect, plenty of pace and very direct and doesn’t seem to mind a bit of a tussle.

Craigh - I’m not against investing in youth and prospects but if we have to not buy some teenage prospects for a couple of transfer windows and put the funds to the acquisition of some seemingly top quality players like Lo Celso and Ndombele then I’m all for it.
