Absolutely proud of Tottenham Hotspur, we went to juventus and absolutely bossed the match, I thought dembele, eriksen and lamela were outstanding let's go and lift that European cup ๐Ÿ†.

Liverpool fan in peace.

I know some people won't root for the other English sides but I definitely was. you boys played your hearts out tonight. Fantastic game to watch.

Me personally, glad to see the UK teams back at the top where they belong.

Good as performance I've seen from an English side in the champions league. Well played spurs.

Full credit Smallsy and Leahy, I totally agree with raver that Aurier is a big risk, Iโ€™m not convinced with him. Can he be coached thatโ€™s the big question.

{Ed001's Note - is there a problem with the recruitment recently? It seems to have gone from quality players with athleticism, such as the Rolls-Royce Dembele, to quality athletes that can sometimes control a ball, such as Aurier and Sissoko. You need power and pace in the Prem but it is useless without some quality.}

Totally agree with you there Ed001, I don't think Sissoko could trap a bag of cement!

{Ed001's Note - I would love to see him try though!}

I agree Ed, the signings of late havenโ€™t been good in my honest opinion.

The dury is also out on Sanchez for me add Llorente to that, the scouting has been poor. You have to ask why other clubs werenโ€™t in for these 2 and Aurier.

{Ed001's Note - I do not rate Sanchez at all, his reading of the game is abysmal but he is quick and strong so often gets away with it. Maybe he can be taught to defend properly but, imo, he doesn't have a defensive mindset that is needed. He will always be chasing back, which runs a bigger risk than being set ready.}

I do sometimes wonder who scouts these players. And what approval chain it goes through.

{Ed001's Note - I have been wondering that myself, if there have been any changes in the last few years. It could be anything from analysts, scouts or just giving Poch more say that could completely change the recruitment policy.}

Sanchez is only 21, very young for a top centreback. He is obviously doing something good otherwise he wouldn't be playing. Yes he is still a bit raw but considering its his first season with us, playing in Pochs high line I think he has excelled.

Steve Hitchen is the new chief scout but Pochettino has been given more input or control.

Sissoko was a bad move, Llorente a stop gap that surprisingly is a flop and Lucas Moura could go either way but well worth the gamble given tge price. Sanchez a great buy.
