A lot of you aren't going to like this.
I think we've done some of the best transfer business in the league. We've moved on a player who wanted out for huge money, and we've kept our best players. We haven't spent silly money on players that aren't worth it (remember when Sissoko at 30 mil seemed like a lot of money? ) .
If we make a couple of intelligent signings I'll be delighted. If we don't, I'll be pleased we've got the squad we have.

Problem is Spud, the squad isn't big enough.
Yes we have kept the squad together, which is great, yes we got good money for an average full back who wanted out, but we have also got rid of several other fringe/ loan players and have not replaced any of them, with todays demands of 4 competitions you require good strength in depth and this is something we seriously lack. We do need signing to keep the squad fresh and the players fight for the places.
I would like to Sanchez, Suarez and Demari Gray come in, but cannot see any of them signing and we will end up with basement bargain buys yet again stinking of last minute panic buys.

We're a bit light, but not desperately. I make our squad out to be as follows:
GK - 3 (Inc 1 Youth)
LB - 3 (Inc 1 youth)
CB - 4 (Inc CCV, not inc. Dier)
RB - 2 (weak here)
CM/ DM - 5 (inc 1 youth)
AM/ Wing - 7 (inc 1 youth)
S - 3 (inc 1 youth)
I don't count Dele or Son as strikers. I count Dier as a CM.
I reckon a CB, a RB and a striker for Cover is all we need. I've only gone 1 deep into the youth set up, too. We have a talented youth team. We're not going to get anyone who will instantly be in the first team - I'm worried by Aurier. I think he's trouble. I'd sooner take someone less skillful with less hassle - someone who is happy to rotate with Trip and KWP.

We have a very good first 11 but one of the poorest benches in the top half of the league, our problems have been when a few first team players gets injured we have no cover.

Weakest bench in the top half of the league? I disagree. Not as strong as city, chelsea or utd, but apart from that I think you're hard pushed to find a better bench. Obviously that's if everyone is fit, which they're unlikely to ever be.

Oddbod, how do I make a fool of myself? a supposed Arsenal fan who is constantly trolling Spurs fans on a Spurs site! now that is making a fool of yourself. And if you ever read my posts I have never rated Kyle Walker very highly, good player mayve worth £50m+ NEVER. He has never been consistant enough, has had way to many injuries, is to dependant on his pace to get out of trouble, these are the issues I have had with Walker for a fair while, his pace will start to slow and his defenesive fralities will start ot become apparant to others who do not watch him regularly. IMO we sold him at the right time for a over inflated price.

Spud apart from son on the bench the rest are bang average, I can guarantee you arsenal, Liverpool, Everton etc have all better benches than us.

Chelsea have Hazard and Bakoyako out. So If hazard was in I guess Boga would drop to the bench on the basis that he started against burnley, and I don't think we can call Bakoyako a top player yet. It's still not a great bench.
Liverpool have more injuries, yes - Lallana, Clyne, Coutinho, Sturridge and Ings. Lallana and Clyne would arguably start, Coutinho definitely would. So yes, they have a better bench than us arguably. I was disagreeing with you because you said we have one of the worst benches in the top ten. That's just not true. Arsenal, Liverpool, United and City have a better bench (provided everyone's fit) , but I don't know what you expect. Us to sign a superstar to warm the bench?
