what was the point in appointing paul mitchell as chief scout when we don't want to sign any of his players that he may have suggested, if we sign anyone now we will be playing catch up as new players need time to bed in.

Levi did say after we signed Toby that there will be more signings but not until the end of the transfer window.

Normally we sell a few then bye plus we all know Levi loves deadline day.

We have cleared the decks of dead wood like Holtby, Paulinho, Chiriches, Stambouli, Kaboul, Capoue and Assou Ekotto. It looks like Lennon, Soldado and Adebayor will follow and possibly even Fazio and Townsend. This is a major achievement alone, with such high wages for players who never really played.

When you add Alderweireld, Wimmer, Trippier and the impending Berahino you get a much better picture. With Carroll, Onumah and Pritchard coming back, and the new signings of Delle Ali and De Andre Yedlin you have a great depth of real quality and youth.

If we sell Soldado and get Adebayor off the books, then expect a couple of new names to fill the final squad places. Just how you have made this into a negative is beyond me.
