'Bernard' Anicio Caldeira Duarte. there's a tongue twister just call him 'Bernard' in the viewfinder of Spurs and Borrussia Dortmund. 20 yr old left sided attacking midfielder. Plays for Atletico Mineiro in Brazil.

To be honest never heard of him before but that's what I am hearing. ED any news on this?

This lad is a quality player if this is true he will be a cracking option for the left side freeing up Bale to play in the middle

Bernard huh? Only Bernard I've ever heard of is Bernard Cribbins! Anyway, read an article about him last night and it said Spurs should snap him up asap, and that he makes Oscar look like chopped liver. Seems to fit the Levy bill. Young, with a high ceiling for improvement and therefore future fees. We'll see.

I forgot to add that he holds a Spanish passport in addition to his Brazilian one so any transfer should be easier.

Can't see spurs signing a left back or a CB to be honest. Rose returning from Sunderland after a cracking season (Avb stating that he has a future at Spurs). Avb also said he doesn't want 5 Cb's again, so with Gallas' contract expiring we'll have 4 (Daws, Vertong, Caulker & Kaboul).

Think strikers are where it's at (as always). So Damiao plus another is on the cards with 1 out (pref ade, but prob difficult (to get rid of him, but he's impossible as well)).

We're getting Townsend back from the R's so doubtful we'll get a winger (even though it has been a weakness I. t. o depth IMO).

Finally a playmaker is needed. Please please Eriksen. They may just give Carroll more time, but he's not ready is season.

Outs: Parker, Gallas
Possible outs: Ade (attitude and he's not gelling like we'd hoped), Livermore (maybe loan, but prob due to game time) and BAE (can't see him leaving this window, but may happen if a good enou offer comes in.

In All reality, that's what Levy's planning. With Baldini coming from Roma, I also think we'll be a lot sharper in the market going forward. Bring on e new stadium.

C'mon the Spurs!

Sorry MK, I seem to have addd this to your post rather than adding it separately. Apologies for that. Would be great if we get Bernard as he's def class and would be great to see bale playing off the striker.

Guv, what about in-comings?

7.) 31 May 2013
Honestly I can only see 2-3 in.

Taking into account How Levy works, David Villa does look like an option, but we would need to lose one of the current 2 to get another one in. Hoping for Damiao or Benteke, but expecting a Levy surprise as always.

Need a midfield playmaker. Seeing how AVB has already had an impact on how we do things, our signings will be Baldini (Roma Transfer Manager- will help us do bus quicker in the long run), a midfielder (hoping Eriksen, but the Wigan McCarthy wouldn't be a surprise) and prob 1 of David Villa, Damiao or Benteke.

If we do more than that, I'd be very surprised. Our under 21's did well and some of those may start getting blooded now (Carroll, Coulthirst, Fryers, Pritchard, Kane, Cabellos and Townsend).

Based on past history and future goals, that seems to set a reasonable balance.

Well, the Athletico president has been quoted as saying that Dortmund wanted his services but a team in the EPL are close to signing him.

From the little that i've seen of him, he has great balance and exceptional ball skills!

Yours spurs not Real Madrid as if your going to get all the top talent. Nice to dream though ay haha

10.) 01 Jun 2013

Yeah because lloris has been world class your just going of your FIFA game ratings and as for the others there hardly the best in the world your living in cuckoo land bale your best player will leave modric your previous best player left. Wake up if u think spurs are best in the world u can't even make champions league. Just a thought

According to a reliable source I have the team close in the EPL is Chavski due to their large Brazilian contingent already at the club, they have already scouted him several times and would also offer the carrot of possibly loaning him back to Mineiro for a season. This comes after the fact they will offer a better pay packet and transfer fee than us and the fact Bernard wants to link up with Oscar and Ramires is a big plus-point for them. AVB sees siggy as our future CAM and no-one else. Not to mention his 40 million euro valuation. Not too keen on him anyway, for every 1 player from South America who makes it, the reality is about ten don't. Really didn't want to say this but unless Bale leaves I fear no major signings will be made. Another challenging summer ahead. And if Chavski make the signings they are linked with I fear they will get the league again thanks to the large wads of Russian dosh.
